Diamond Open Access

Diamond Open Access (Diamond OA) is a non-profit, community-supported approach to academic publishing that eliminates costs for both authors and readers. In this model, all publications are freely available online, without subscription fees or article processing charges (APCs), ensuring open and equitable access to scholarly work.

VAS - Visionary Architecture Studies
CAP - Cadernos de Arte Pública / Public Art Journal
BBDS - Black Book Drawing and Sketching

The Diamond Open Access (Diamond OA) approach is sustained trough donations and agreements.

Institutional publishing agreement models

Under an Agreement, the institution pays an annual flat fee, and all articles with a corresponding author affiliated with the institution are published at no additional cost (in our APC-based journals). At the same time, the institution supports our Diamond OA journals.

Agreement models offer an affordable option that enables institutions and their authors to publish freely in our Open Access journals while helping to sustain the publishing activity of our Diamond OA journals, contact us.

This means that the publishing costs are to be payed ideally by the institutions (E.g. Universities) that, have proper funding and, benefit from the fact that their affiliated authors publish in rigorously peer reviewed, indexed, internationally recognised publications.

Unless otherwise stated, ​APC is mandatory for all approved papers. With the following exceptions:
- Authors affiliated with the Institutions that are Members of UC R&D Consortium;
- Members of the publication Committees and other Invited Authors.
(Invited authors can be invited for merit or/and justified payment incapacity).

The payment must be processed after the paper acceptance for publication.
