Through WT/UC – Wisethorough / Urbancreativity, we aim to fill gaps in existing academic collections by offering distinctive, in-depth scholarly content. We specialise in building and nurturing research communities, particularly in the arts, design, architecture, and the social sciences.

WT – Wisethorough Services provides editorial, technical, and publishing support for open-access scholarly communication. Active in academic publishing since 2014, WT supports journals and books through workflow development, metadata and DOI management, XML/JATS production, and platform implementation, working collaboratively with editorial teams and publishers across disciplines.
Based in Portugal, WT operates as a proximity-based service provider, contributing to the development of the Lusophone academic publishing and open science ecosystem.
Black Book: Drawing and Sketching (BBDS) is publishing original research on drawing and sketching as cognitive, creative, and applied practices. The journal addresses the epistemological, methodological, and communicative functions of graphic mark-making across disciplines, including architecture, design, fine arts, education, environmental studies, and the cognitive sciences. BBDS is particularly concerned with the intersections between drawing practices and knowledge production — examining how graphic thinking operates as a mode of inquiry, documentation, representation, and critical reflection. The journal publishes research articles, essays, and image-led works in which visual material constitutes a primary research output or analytical instrument, accompanied by scholarly text. Accepted visual formats include architectural drawings, field sketches, photographic sequences, collages, diagrams, maps, and other forms of graphic documentation. Submissions are are expected to make a demonstrable contribution to research on drawing and sketching within their respective field of application.
Online Journal, AIS is focused on the image production realms that are connected with Architecture and Design, among others architectural and design photography, 2D and 3D drawing technologies (CAD) project and inspirational illustration.
VAS includes architecture image studies and more. We intend to attract interactions between scholars and practitioners, both in visual and written formats. VA provides a platform for multidisciplinary research that transcends the traditional boundaries of architecture. It encourages contributions not only from architects and architectural historians but also from visual studies and writing scholars, photographers, artists, and others who examine the visionary aspects of architectural representation. EGI is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal dedicated to multidisciplinary research on writing systems, written symbols, and scripts, with a particular focus on graffiti as a form of visual and material inscription.
The journal publishes research examining graffiti, epigraphy, and iconography as interconnected fields within archaeology, epigraphy, art history, anthropology, and visual culture studies. It addresses both historical and contemporary forms of inscription, with attention to their role in the production, transmission, and transformation of visual languages.

Urbancreativity.org represents a research initiative under the Urban Creativity (UC) conceptual umbrella, encompassing graffiti and street art, public art, urban user experience, and, to some extent, architecture. We focus on the shared interests of diverse research communities and center our efforts on the relationship between users and creators across various fields of creativity. We believe that knowledge gathering, dissemination, and urban acupuncture are the most effective ways to achieve our mission. To this end, we promote scientific meetings, activities, and open-access publications.
GSA journal is born from the need of a publication focused exclusively for Graffiti and Street Art academic studies. It's purpose is to contribute to the credibility and recognition of the field from the academic perspective.

The proceeding of 2 simposiums, on 2022 and 2023 (vol. 1 and 2 respectively), under two-year INDIGO project aims to build the basis to systematically document, monitor, and analyse circa 13 km of graffiti along Vienna’s Danube Canal in the next decade.
RI welcomes the publication of original articles unpublished or commissioned to experts in Spanish language, related to graffiti or visual artistic expressions in the public space, popular or professional, throughour history, from any disciplinary approach. Likewise, admit bibliographic reviews on recentry published works or classic or significant titles in the academic field (essays, monographs, doctoral theses...) in said fields.
